Peter Hale
Session 1 Speaker
Peter is an experienced Senior Finance leader within Banking and the wider Financial Services sector. He is currently Finance Director at Afin Bank, a start-up bank focused on finding solutions for people whose needs are often overlooked by traditional banks.
At Afin, Peter helps shape the bank's financial strategy, performance, and operating model as it scales, with responsibilities including strategic financial planning, capital and liquidity, FP&A, annual accounts, and leadership of the finance function. He was previously Head of Finance at FCMB Bank UK, and brings extensive knowledge of how banking works end-to-end, particularly in small to medium sized banks.
Scott Morris

Scott has over 40 years' banking and Compliance leadership experience, acquired across a number of global banking organisations, as well as a regulator and professional body. He has extensive experience in creating and directing large teams across different regions. He has performed senior roles in Compliance, Anti-Financial Crime and COO at Board, Senior Advisor, Managing Director and Executive Vice President levels.
Simeon Atkins

Simeon is a strategic and creative marketing leader with more than a decade of experience in behaviour change and B2B growth. He has worked across product positioning, go-to-market strategy, customer insight and content and throughout his career has focused on understanding what captures people’s attention, builds trust and encourages meaningful action.
At Skillcast, he brings this perspective to the challenge of making compliance feel relevant and practical rather than abstract or disconnected from everyday work. He is particularly interested in how AI can create more personalised, accessible and responsive learning experiences, while preserving the human oversight and control that ensures it's used in an ethical and reliable way.
James Workman

James Workman is a Cyber Security Consultant at Bechtle who helps organisations prepare for the disruptions they hope never happen. With over eight years' experience across financial services, healthcare, government and commercial sectors, he advises on cyber resilience, supplier risk, incident response and security governance, helping organisations build resilience beyond compliance.
Nickie Elenor
Session 4 Speaker
Nickie Elenor has over 30 years’ experience advising employers across the UK. She is currently working closely with employer clients to prepare for the upcoming Employment Rights Act changes, including significant reforms to sexual harassment law. Nickie is also the instructing solicitor on a landmark whistleblowing case, Barton Turns Development v Treadwell, due to be heard in the Supreme Court in May, and brings valuable insight into the practical implications of this case for employers. Her work combines legally robust advice with a strong commercial and people‑focused perspective.
Gary Wright

Gary Wright is Director of Industry Affairs at ISITC Europe. In addition to conducting an academic research project on T+1 and serving on the UK Accelerated Settlement Taskforce steering committee. Gary has recently produced a series of roundtables and podcasts on the subject of AI and digitalisation.
Gary is highly sought after for his views and advice on the impacts on business and operations of market and regulatory changes. Having previously held senior positions within several major financial institutions, and participated in many industry committees. He has also acted as advisor to several leading suppliers and given executive briefings to Institutions in the Far and Middle East. Gary has spoken at, chaired and moderated a considerable number of events globally. His blogs, articles, whitepapers, and reports have been published world-wide.
David Kenmir

David Kenmir has 35 years of regulatory experience, including five years as a Managing Director at the FSA and 14 years as a Risk and Regulatory Partner at PwC. Having retired from PwC last year, he is building a plural career, part of which includes taking on the role of Chair of Skillcast’s new Advisory Board and has become an INED at a start-up bank.
David has extensive regulatory experience and has worked with many organisations on the strategic and day-to-day challenges they face. He has broad expertise in Financial Crime, including s166 reviews and Enforcement cases. David is known for speaking and writing about many aspects of regulation and its unintended consequences.
Katharine Leaman

Katharine (Skillcast Advisory Board Member) has worked in financial services for over thirty years in insurance claims, giving investment advice, regulation, and banking compliance. Katharine has been European Head of Regulatory Compliance at Standard Chartered Bank and spent over a decade at the UK's regulator, the FSA (now FCA in senior policy and supervision roles.
