Meet the speaker
John Kingston
Senior Lecturer in Cyber Security, Nottingham Trent University
John Kingston has an extensive background in artificial intelligence and qualifications in law, providing a unique perspective on the technical, human and regulatory aspects of cybersecurity.
Prior to joining NTU, John spent twenty years at the University of Edinburgh and seven years working across a range of government and industry roles before returning to academia in 2015.
His current research interests include using knowledge management techniques to address the problem of human deception in cybersecurity, as well as the standardisation of cyber attack descriptions to improve knowledge sharing, analysis and reasoning.
Drawing on his expertise in artificial intelligence, cyber risk and human behaviour, John will provide practical insight into how AI is transforming today's threat landscape and what organisations should be doing to prepare.
