The challenge
As a global engineering business, Rotork operates across multiple jurisdictions, each with its own regulatory requirements and cultural nuances. Delivering anti-bribery training at this scale meant ensuring a consistent message while adapting the content for 13 different languages. This was not simply a matter of translation, but careful localisation to preserve legal accuracy, clarity, and cultural relevance across diverse regions.
At the same time, Rotork needed to make mandatory compliance training engaging and accessible for employees in a wide range of roles and locations. The programme had to be easy to deploy globally, technically accessible across sites, and supported by robust tracking and reporting to provide clear evidence of compliance. Balancing consistency, localisation, engagement, and auditability was the core challenge of the initiative.
The solution
To support its global workforce, Rotork translated its anti-bribery course into 13 languages, ensuring employees across Europe, the Americas and South East Asia could access training in their native language. The programme was delivered via the Skillcast Portal LMS, branded to reflect Rotork’s corporate identity and featuring a welcome message from Global Learning Manager Lisa de Claite Ross to reinforce leadership commitment.
Following the success of the Bribery Prevention course, Rotork expanded its learning provision by adopting the Skillcast Essential Library, adding over 40 compliance courses covering areas such as Data Protection, Equality and Diversity, and Cybersecurity. The organisation also introduced soft skills modules, including Conducting Effective Meetings and Coaching, to support broader professional development.
Rather than relying solely on supplier-led customisation, Rotork took a hands-on approach. Working closely with Skillcast, the internal e-learning team received training and support to tailor courses in-house, ensuring content reflected the specific needs of the business.
Using the Skillcast Authoring Tool, the team also created bespoke technical training to support its skilled workforce, embedding long-term capability and ownership within the organisation.
